Bespoke Property Solutions
Zenith & Beyond Ltd is a small family-run building company who specialise in domestic home renovation and improvement projects in the Southampton area. We offer bespoke solutions for each and every one of our customers. While some jobs are straightforward, our experience and skills allow us to offer more than your average off-the-shelf product when all is said and done.
Our Story
Zenith & Beyond Ltd was officially founded in early 2020 by Ben Colclough, who, being a recent University of Southampton graduate at the time, quickly discovered his true passion in life - home improvement and renovation. Having finished his undergraduate degree, he entered into a year’s part-time internship with his church for what he planned to be a gap-year.
Ben initially ended up dedicating the rest of his time to helping a friend finish off an extension after a cowboy builder had abandoned the project. He was soon providing a range of services to a whole host of people who had similar needs and was was well suited to all of this because he had gained a lot of relevant background knowledge whilst helping his dad with comparable projects as he grew up, and had worked in a local family-run DIY store for his late-teen and early-twenties years.
Ben
The part-time internship came and went, but the business didn’t cease, largely thanks to the reputation and relationships he’d built over that first year. The business hasn’t stopped growing since, and in 2024 Ben brought his new wife Zhenya into the fold, and they now work together on bigger projects than ever before. This is also when they rebranded the company, whose original name was BASC Property Services Ltd, into what it is now.

We pride ourselves in offering a flexible working relationship with our clients. If you have a vivid vision of a final result, we’re more than happy to do everything in our power to turn your imagination into a reality. However, as experienced creators, we always have ideas of our own to contribute, and are more than happy to lay out a list of options for you to choose from.
On the opposite end of the spectrum, we’re also happy to be given a blank slate of an idea and then be given free-reign to finalise all of the details ourselves. We’ve had many happy customers from each approach, as we strive to deliver a product that we, and our client can be proud of each and every time.
We often use computer aided design (CAD) to help visualise a project, and ensure that we are all on the same page before work gets started. Whatever level of involvement you want to take, we’ll actively keep you updated as we progress, and are more than happy to chat through your questions at any stage.
